Bristol lock, Chris Vui, has been appointed to captain Manu Samoa their Northern Hemisphere Tour this month.

The decision has been confirmed by the Samoa Rugby Union.

Chris Vui is a former North harbor Captain who made his Manu Samoa debut back in 2016.

Paul Perez will be assisting Chris Vui in the leadership role, having being named Co-Captain.

Manu Samoa tight-head prop Logovi’i Mulipola has been helping out with the camp despite sustaining an injury to his neck.

The Union also confirmed that Tusi Pisi is part of the camp as back up.

“The team is all in good health,” the Union reports.

“They are currently based at Holiday Inn Surrey Guildford and have been training at the Surrey Sports Park. The Harlequins Rugby team has assisted our team in lending our team with equipment for training.”

The new leadership is being assisted by senior players including Maurie Fa’asavalu, Ofisa Treviranus, David Lemi and Tim Nanai Williams.

The Manu Samoa will depart for Scotland on Sunday 5 November 2017.
