The Police are currently investigating the death of a male found in a black vehicle parked at Mulinu'u on Tuesday.

The Police and Prisons Commissioner, Fuiavailiili Egon Keil, told the Samoa Observer in an interview on Tuesday that investigations into the case were ongoing.

The incident occurred near the court house and Samoa's Parliament house in front of the seawall.

According to Fuiavailiili, he said that the Police’s traffic detectives are working on the case.

“Preliminary information indicates a possible medical issue,” he added.

The Commissioner also explained that the deceased was the driver of the vehicle with no occupants.

“[There was] no other vehicle, person, or obstacle involved," he said.

Fuiavailiili also revealed that upon arrival of the responding Police and fire and emergency officers, the person in question had already passed away.

“Investigations [are] continuing.”

When Samoa Observer arrived at the scene, Police officers were present and were still conducting investigations but the body of the deceased had already been removed from the scene.
