Between the Lines

DELAY

A business went to pick up their business license and found out that the delay was because the IRD had run out of coloured hard paper to print them and were waiting for the new order. Who did the budget?

ENVELOPE

A dignitary was fast to react when given an ‘envelope’ during a function. While other gifts were taken to the car by the driver, the envelope went straight into the bag.

RECORDS

Keeping records at the ‘boys in blue’ HQ needs an overhaul. Lawyers’ officers going to check on files are finding them missing or with wrong content. These are documents meant for court cases.

STOP WORK

Construction at a building near town has ceased possibly because of a stop work order from the authorities. It is some other reason than the word ‘plaza’ spelt ‘plazza’ on a big sign.

CHECK NEEDED

Authorities need to do a check on security companies. Some employees are doing straight 24-hour and some even 48-hour shifts. This is not good for health.

STICKER

Sometimes bumper stickers are hilarious such as this one spotted in Apia: “Driver carries no cash. He is married.”
