Should the seasonal workers be brought home?
Reubenjay Lene, 28, Moataa
We should think about our brothers that are overseas. They should come home now. Here in Samoa, we stay on our own land, we don't pay for any houses, not much is spent on food because we have taro. Our brothers overseas are facing a lot of difficulties such as paying for water, the house they are staying in, and food. The Government should bring them home.

They should be brought back home now if they have no work to do. They have to pay for a lot of stuff while they are there. There is no reason for them to stay there if no work is being done. The Government should bring them home. It would be better for them to come back.

They should be brought back home now because they don't have work to do anymore. It would be best for them to come back to Samoa and look for jobs here. It is very difficult for them to send money back home because there is no work being done where they are at.
Fale Ioane, 55, Lepa
If they don't have any work to do then they should be brought back home now because if they spend too much money overseas then they would come home with nothing. They should be the first to be brought home because they don't have any work to do now. They should look for other jobs here in Samoa.
Fata Tainefu, 74, Afega
They should be brought back home. There is no reason to spend more time there if they aren't getting anything. It is better for them to come home so that they can use their time wisely and find a new job here to earn money for their families.
Opetaia Peniamina, 30, Falefa
I think they should be brought back home if they have no work to do there. The Government should do something to bring these seasonal workers back to Samoa so that we can welcome back our brothers who have been facing many challenges overseas.
