Lanuano Ah Ching, 59, Sinamoga

“Giving Tuilaepa Dr.Sailele Malielegaoi and Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi suspension of two years is a righteous decision from the Parliament. To me personally, I don’t expect this type of behavior from someone who has been serving our country for many years. If their party has been defeated and they become the opposition party, then they should act accordingly. We have witnessed the disrespect they have both shown in most Parliament meeting and they should give it a rest for they are carrying the image and name of the districts that they represent."

Tesimale Tupa’i, 56, Samusu

“I am saddened by the fact that Tuilaepa had been the leader for Samoa for so many years. He should know better. The way he represents himself it’s like he still leading the country yet he is in the Opposition party. Their differences should be put aside and focus on supporting the current Government which is now in the lead for 5 years. I hope they both use that 24 months suspension to rethink things out."

Tutumanu Mino, 65, Saluafata

“They were given few months suspension before and it looks like they still haven’t learnt how to behave during the parliament meeting. I am very happy about the Parliament's decision of giving them a two-years suspension because they deserve it. Hopefully, whoever is next up to represent the two districts that those two represent will be more responsible and bring about new changes."

Leuta Mcarthy, 67, Leufisa

“Being suspended from the parliament for that long will teach them a lesson that having to represent a district isn’t a calling to play around with. They decided to represent their district they should also learn how to respect the people of their districts and respecting them means behaving."

Manuao Faapito, 47, Manono

“To me I thank God for this new parliament that we have now, whoever made it to the parliament, it is what it is. If the district makes a rule for their district, if they will be happy or disappointed for this point of view although what had happened for their village leader."

Vao Mafi, 53, Pesega

“From what I have heard, it was right. I wouldn’t touch base with the district, they have to look out for their constitutency's leader, who was suspended because we all know the devil that is roaming around us. But let us calm down and have peace and humble your heart because God deserves all the glory and keep them in prayers."

Mata Molesi, 35, Maile

“Be righteous to yourself for you can organize things for yourself and your country. There is plenty of stories because people still question themselves. But let us depend on our leaders that we have for a better future, for children who are growing up in this time we might not know what will happen in the next time."

Simona Fili, 68, Sogi

“The final decision made in relation to this case explains Tuilaepa has things that run through his name, that can be harsh on him as he has been suspended. The right thing is for the M.P. to give the right information on what happened and that information is yet to be submitted. So let’s be happy and excited for the new Government and support them."
