"It was a nice game for the boys, but there were somethings that they as a team can do better on and prepare for their second game. I think the supporters felt hurt more than the boys who went to battle, another thing was that the boys felt off perhaps something happened before the game. Next game we can do better, they need to work on their tackles, we can't have four of our players trying to take down one player. The player that played really well during that would have to be Brian To'o from the Lukostyla Solosolo Uta."

Cyrilla Tiaaleaiga, 23, Solosolo

"The game went on and I started feeling disappointed towards the end because we lost, but we still thank God, you don't always win. They did well to try their best, but I still felt sad. My whole village probably heard me cheering and celebrating on our first try but then for the rest of the game I just stayed quite because we started losing. They should relax more and try again for the next game."

Sua Ua Sua, 74, Talimatau

"Our boys did alright, it wasn't a very good game. What I was watching showed me that they didn't have enough proper training together as a team, the England team on the other hand was well prepared for the game. Our team needs some fine tuning and better organising, they also need to work on fitness and ball technique as well."

Lucy Upumoni, 31, Lotopa

"To me, they did really well in that game, yes they do come from different clubs and may not have had time to train together. But I think they still tried to put in a 100 per cent effort in that game, there is nothing really to scrutinise about the team. But I know for sure that the next game we will definitely win."

Soi Letoga, 54, Satalo

"I know for a fact that our country must feel upset about our last game. I think the team didn't have enough time together as a team, they came straight from their rugby clubs and right on to the fields. Anything that isn't prepared well for, this is the answer, the same goes for when you are well prepared, you also reap the benefits. They should prepare well from now on till the next game. But we should still be happy for the boys and their efforts."

Tupolata Rapi, 20, Vaitele

"I am not happy with with that game. The whole day I prepared and set up everything to watch the game with my family. Our whole house was blue to support the boys but then when we watched the results and how we lost. We can't complain to the boys, if that's how much they tried then that's all. I don't think anyone played well during that game, no one stood out to me. They need to have unity in their team, if they can't then we can't win anything. They need the skill of listening to each other and the calls that are made in order to play together as one."
