Leififi  College defeated the visiting Caboolture Snakes Rugby Union Club from Australia in a friendly match on Tuesday afternoon.

The Caboolture Rugby Union Club, known as the "Snakes," is a community-focused club based in Morayfield, Queensland, established in 1982. They compete in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union (SCRU) and Queensland Suburban Rugby Union (QSRU), offering rugby for seniors, women, and juniors, with a strong emphasis on family-friendly, inclusive, and affordable sport.

Sifuiva Malaea Lauano, the principal of Leififi College, said it was an honour to host the club.

“This Australian team was a good experience. They will also play Wesley College on Friday. The game will be held at Wesley College. It is also a friendly match," the principal said.

"After the game, our school gave them gifts and the game helped our team."

"This is the first time Leififi College has played against this team. The Australian team is made up of school students, and it is also a club team. This Australian club will not only visit Samoa, but will also travel to Tonga.”

On Friday, after the match at Wesley College, Lakapi will also launch the secondary schools sevens competition.
