A strong Toa Samoa 23-man squad has been announced for the upcoming tour of the United Kingdom but will be without several star players.

The team will be without several star players such as Brian To'o and Joseph Suaalii. Four-time premiership-winning five-eighth Jarome Luai leading the roster as captain.

Brothers Izack and Jake Tago have both been named, while Anthony Milford or Blaize Talagi is likely to join Luai in the halves, with the other contending with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the No.1 jumper.

Wests Tigers new recruit Jeral Skelton has been called-up as well as Melbourne Storm rookie forward Lazarus Vaalepu after becoming one of the most inexperienced players to play in an NRL Grand Final.

Jarome Luai, fresh off his fourth consecutive premiership with Penrith, will lead his nation for the first time.

The soon-to-be Wests Tigers talisman replaces Junior Paulo as skipper with the Parramatta forward still sidelined through injury.

The Eels prop isn't the only star who will be absent though with Brian To'o, Stephen Crichton and Spencer Leniu also missing the tour.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for coach Ben Gardiner with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck set to make his debut after defecting from the Kiwis upon his return to rugby league.
