Qantas, Fiji Airways set for weekly flights

Qantas Airways has announced weekly flights between Sydney and Apia commencing next Tuesday with Fiji Airways to also operate three flights a week starting August.
Details of the flights were uploaded to the Qantas Airways' website with the Australian airline advising that the weekly flights are scheduled from 5 July 2022 to 27 September 2022.
The two flights (QF333) will operate via Brisbane as well as Sydney for the two-and-a-half month duration. The link to the airline’s website will take interested travellers to a form that the passenger will need to fill in.
Qantas has advised that seats are available until sold out and due to the number of passengers wanting to travel on these flights, it may not be possible to provide seat separation for all passengers, and a passenger may be seated next to other passengers.
All customers who are travelling on international flights operated by Qantas are also required to be fully vaccinated no later than seven days before his or her flight, with a Therapeutic Goods Australia–approved or recognised vaccine at the time of travel.
Qantas continues to operate weekly flights between Australia and Samoa, supported by the Australian Government’s Pacific Flight Program (PFP).
The PFP has supported connectivity between Australia and the Pacific during the pandemic, ensuring the safe movement of people and supplies throughout the region. Tickets for these flights can be purchased using a booking link and password, accessible via the Australian High Commission’s Facebook page or see below.

Fiji Airways has also confirmed its schedule to Samoa for the remainder of this year with flights scheduled for this month (28 June), 9 July and 23 July. Effective August this year Fiji Airways will operate three flights a week to Samoa on Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays.
The airline is also amending its international check-in times to its original times [pre-COVID-19 period] with check-in counters opening three (3) hours prior to departure and closing one (1) hour prior to departure.
This change will come into effect for Fiji Airways flights from April 1 2022 as Fiji and other countries require less entry requirements allowing for minimal documents verification at check-in.
Fiji Airways also encourages all customers to arrive early to the airport or alternatively check-in online 48 hours and up until 4 hours before departure to experience a more seamless service at the airport.
Effective 7 April 2022 travelling to Fiji will be as easy as showing proof of vaccination, a negative pre-departure rapid test, travel insurance and a pre-booked post-arrival rapid test.
