She thanked the support of her family, and the Lord for his guidance and for giving her the wisdom to complete her academic journey this year.
“First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to thank God above for his guidance and blessings, which have enabled me to achieve this milestone," she said.
“I also want to thank my parents for putting me through school and making sure everything I needed for school was provided, this is my gift to them for all their sacrifices."
"I’m proud of myself and all the sacrifices I’ve made that have led to me being named as the dux for Peace Chapel. Words cannot express how thankful I am for receiving this great honour.
She also added that there were some challenges she faced through this academic year.
“I was often tempted to hang out with my friends and neglect my studies, but I’m glad I persevered and prioritised my education which is why I have achieved this success,” she said.
The school's Year 8 dux also credited the support of her friends, teachers, and the school management including the principal and vice-principal for her success this year.

Margean’s father, George Fe’esago, told the Samoa Observer that all praise goes to God for his daughter's achievements.
“I thank God that my daughter has been able to achieve the top honour for Year 8, without him none of this would have been possible. All the glory should be directed towards him for what Margean has achieved,” said the proud father on Wednesday.
The 13-year-old said she now has her hopes of entering into the profession of accountancy.
“I want to become an accountant because accountants help organisations make better decisions and also help society do better. Accountants provide financial insight, which, in turn, helps companies know when to launch new products, move into new markets, or avoid money-losing ventures. Accountants also are the guardians of financial accuracy across the economy,” Margean said.
The 2021 Dux for Peace Chapel will be attending Fa’atuatua Christian College next year to continue her academic pursuit.
