H.R.P.P. hosts family fun day

Hundreds of children from around Upolu crowded the Human Rights Protection Party (H.R.P.P.) headquarters at Petesa on Monday.
The opposition leader, Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi made an announcement last Friday in a video uploaded onto the H.R.P.P. official Facebook page inviting children to visit his party’s headquarters to eat ice cream and take photos as part of White Sunday celebrations.
During the video, he also conveyed well wishes to the children of Samoa.
The Koko Samoa Serenaders made up of H.R.P.P. members dedicated songs on Saturday night for the children.
While some families made their way to enjoy the beaches, others took the opportunity to visit the Party’s headquarters for a chance to have fun, play games and enjoy various foods from treats to BBQ dishes.
Cotton candy, ice cream and a variety of candy catering to attendees with a sweet tooth were all available at stalls at the event.
The children were also seen playing on bouncing castles, outdoor games and rode miniature trains and were also provided with treats.
There was also a corner for people to be part of a karaoke.
Tuilaepa was surrounded by over a hundred children inside the party’s building while singing songs.
The leader of H.R.P.P. was seen taking photos with the children, parents and youths under a breadfruit tree.
However, towards the end of the activities, some of the children had the chance to conduct their scriptural recitations in front of Tuilaepa and H.R.P.P. members.
Towards the end of the activities, the children were able to recite their biblical recitations.
Former Member of Parliament, Fuimaono Samuelu Teo thanked the parents for the support and also asked the children if they wanted to have another event which all the children yelled saying yes.
Tuilaepa also acknowledged the support from the parents of all the children that came to their event.
He told the children that they will let them know and inform them if they decide to host a similar event in the future.
The H.R.P.P. advised the children to obey their parents so that they will live long in this lifetime.
He encouraged them to strive for excellence in school especially through their academic studies and continues to do well.
Also part of the event was the opposition party selling Papa Stui and Koko Samoa Serenaders t-shirts which were sold for $40 adult sizes while $30 for children.
