Police raid brings back over 1000 marijuana plants

The Samoa Police Service has returned from a raid at Fasitoo uta and Faleatiu, seizing marijuana plants worth $160,000.

More than seven Police cars returned to Apia Headquarters on Beach Road this afternoon with more than 30 armed officers. 

About 1054 marijuana plants were unloaded, including three buckets full of the dried leaves. Other items seized in the raid include money, utensils for smoking methamphetamine, young marijuana plants, cellphones, laptops and two shotguns.

Six arrests were made, including that of three women.

The Samoa Observer understands the raid started early Monday morning.
