Two former employees of the A.N.Z. Bank accused of stealing from the financial institution in 2018 have been given a new hearing date. 

Rosa Muaau Papalii and Pisaina Tavui appeared before the Justice Niava Mata Tuatagaloa on Monday. 

Tavui was represented by lawyer Steve Chan Chui while Papalii’s lawyer, Leiataualesa Jerry Brunt did not appear in Court. 

Prosecutor and Attorney General’s Office lawyer, Silupevaelei Rexona Titi said the hearing is to set a new hearing date. 

Justice Niava then adjourned the matter for hearing on 21 June 2021. 

The women are accused of stealing $2,430 tala by allegedly using a fraudulently produced access card over the period of one month in August 2018. 

They are facing charges of theft as a servant during their employment term with the A.N.Z. Bank. 

Both women have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
