The man who was convicted and jailed for life for the murder of former Cabinet Minister, the late Luagalau Levaula Kamu, will reappear in the Supreme Court next week.

Alatise Leafa Vitale was in Savai’i on Wednesday when he was arrested and placed in custody by the Police for breaching his parole conditions.

The Ministry of Justice and Courts Administration Acting C.E.O., Tofilau Shamilla Leavai, confirmed the development, saying Alatise is scheduled to appear in the Supreme Court on Tuesday 14 May 2019.

Tofilau said he had breached his parole conditions and because of that he was arrested.

Asked what parole condition Alatise breached, Tofilau said she was unaware of the details of the matter.

She added such information will all be revealed in the Supreme Court next week.

One of the conditions for those being granted parole is that they are not allowed to consume alcohol, go to nightclubs or go to crowded  public places.

Alatise has been an active supporter of Talalelei Pauga, the man who threw a pig's head at Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sa'ilele Malielegaoi. He has also been seen with Malele Paulo, who is charged for making defamatory statements against the Prime Minister.

Both Paulo and Pauga have been posting photos of their outings with Alatise on their Facebook pages.

Alatise was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2000 for the murder, upon orders from his father and former Cabinet Minister, Leafa Vitale and another former Cabinet Minister, Toi Aukuso.

He was granted parole in October 2010 after serving 11 years in jail for the killing in 1999.
