British singer-songwriter and actress Joss Stone arrives in Samoa at 4.00pm Monday. 

Concert promoter, Michael Schalkuchen Hickey, said Joss will arrive Monday afternoon at the Faleolo International Airport.

She will perform at the Funway Park in Apia on Tuesday, May 7 from 7.00pm. 

Joscelyn Eve Stoker, whose stage name is Joss Stone, is on a mission to become the first ever artist in the world to tour all 193 countries that are affiliated to or are members of the United Nations.

She has so far performed in 55 countries and was in Palau last week before going on to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji and Samoa, and will wrap up her Oceania tour in the Federated States of Micronesia. 

Her vision behind the world tour is to highlight the importance of protecting indigenous music, culture and the environment.

The 32-year-old artist rose to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions, which made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist.

She has recorded and performed songs with many of the world’s most revered artists including Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Damian Marley, Annie Lennox, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and Lauryn Hill.
