The Bank South Pacific announced its continued support as the major sponsor for the Schools National Rugby 15s for the third consecutive year.

This year’s sponsorship includes a generous $15,000 cash donation and an additional $5,000 in-kind contribution.

According to BSP, this emphasised their commitment to fostering youth development and sports excellence.

“BSP’s continued partnership with the Schools National Rugby 15s highlights the importance of providing opportunities for young athletes to excel both on and off the field. The sponsorship aims to support the logistical and operational needs of the tournament while encouraging youth participation in sports as a pathway to personal and community growth,” said BSP in a statement.

“The Bank proudly supports programs that inspire and uplift young minds through sports.”

BSP E-Banking Manager Maiava Iaeli Tovia-Leota said BSP will continue its efforts to invest in initiatives that shape the future of communities.

"We are delighted to continue our support for the Schools National Rugby 15s. This sponsorship underscores our commitment to nurturing young talent, empowering youth through sports, and fostering opportunities for Samoan youth to realise their potential,” she said.

“Rugby is more than just a sport; it instils character, promotes teamwork, and cultivates leadership skills that are essential for future success."

The tournament brings together 24 girls' teams and 24 boys' teams from schools across Samoa, highlighting the finest young talent the nation has to offer.

The action begins on Tuesday, 22 April and concluding in a spectacular finals day on Saturday, 26 April 26th. Games will be hosted at Wesley College, Punaoa, and Pesega College rugby fields.

The sponsorship was formally acknowledged by the National Development Manager for Lakapi Samoa and the Oceania Region Seleagaia Toluiva Keneti and Marketing Manager Fuatino Muliagatele Ah Wai.

“Their acceptance highlights the enduring collaboration between BSP and the rugby community, further strengthening their shared commitment to the sport's growth and development,” said Maiava.
