Students from Faatuatua Christian College arrived at the Samoa Observer in Vaitele on Tuesday morning as they took learning beyond the classroom.

The 70 students from Year Nine as part of their Gagana Samoa class were at the newspaper to learn about the process that goes into publishing a daily newspaper.

For some, it was their very first trip to the Samoa Observer and were excited for the tour.

Student, Blessing Faatutala said the field trip was educational and fun.

"It was inspiring and I think I would like to be a journalist in the future," he said.

The students were led by their teacher Tualima Sani were greeted by the Samoa Observer team who divided the teams into groups and gave a tour of the different departments.

The children's objective was to learn each process and some were curious as they asked questions.

The tour concluded with the FCC students thanking the Samoa Observer team for the educational experience and giving them a reason to read the newspaper.

Samoa Observer Editor Shalveen Chand said the newspaper has an open-door policy for students and schools who want to learn about the newspaper and have an interest in journalism.
