Gloria Talopa’u, a 17-year-old graduate from Pesega College has embarked on a journey of service as a volunteer with the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) Youth.

Dedicated to making a difference, Gloria spends her days as a new friend and mentor to the children at the Campus of Hope, a sanctuary for vulnerable and displaced children.

“It was truly exciting to be surrounded by the children. Initially, I didn't expect the work to be so joyful. After spending a day with them, I realised just how happy and resilient these children are, despite their circumstances,” Gloria shared.

She expressed her admiration for the unwavering support provided by SVSG.

“The love and care they receive really makes a difference in their lives. I’ve witnessed firsthand how much they value the help they get. It's been an eye-opening experience for me, and I believe more people should join in supporting these children who need it most.”

Gloria’s dedication to uplifting others serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of compassion and the importance of giving back to the community.

Through her efforts, she is spreading hope and love to children who have faced significant challenges, while also encouraging others to join in making a positive impact.

Suluniu Lina Chang, President of SVSG, summed it up beautifully: "Precious moments of helping each other for a new change. A true transformation begins when we come together in service of one another. Let’s continue to make these precious moments count, and work together to create a brighter, more hopeful future.”
