New year begins with hope for Campus kids
The new year has begun with hope for the children of the Campus of Hope with signs that they are in the thoughts of Samoans who are living abroad.
The Savali a Keriso Ministry and members of Hosanna Christian Church in Brisbane visited the children living in the shelter run by the Samoa Victim Support Group.
On 5 January, the group arrived at the Campus of Hope, bearing a generous donation of $2000 along with various gifts for the children.
The highlight of the visit was the uplifting gospel performance by the ministry, which filled the campus with songs, praises, and inspiring messages.
It was a day of joy and reflection for the children, who were reminded of hope and love in their lives. The performances and talks encouraged the young victims, reinforcing the essence of the campus as a place of healing and empowerment.
Five days later, on January 10, the ministry returned to the campus with another act of kindness. They prepared a barbecue and served ice cream, creating a fun and supportive atmosphere for the children. The women members of the ministry were moved to tears expressing deep gratitude for SVSG President Siliniu Lina Chang's unwavering dedication to the cause.
Siliniu reciprocated the sentiments, thanking the ministry for their compassion and continued support. She also reflected on SVSG’s 20-year journey, celebrating the impact of their work and the growing support from both local and international communities.
The Savali a Keriso Ministry’s visit was a testament to the power of community love in creating a brighter future for Samoa’s most vulnerable children. As SVSG continues its mission, initiatives like these bring hope, healing, and renewed purpose to those in need.
Meanwhile, on 9 January Palau Farm made a generous contribution to SVSG delivering 40 trays of eggs.
The donation was warmly received by Siliniu and members of the SVSG community, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Palau Farm for their continued support. This act of generosity provided essential nutritional support to the children living at the Campus of Hope.
Siliniu thanked Palau Farm, acknowledging their ongoing commitment to assisting the community. “Faafetai tele lava, Palau Farm, for your continuous generosity and for helping us care for our children. Your support truly makes a difference,” she said.
This is not the first time Palau Farm has shown its support through donations to SVSG. Their consistent acts of kindness have greatly contributed to improving the welfare of those in need.
