Public concerned over the political chaos

The public has raised concerns over the ongoing political chaos in Samoa and hopes that the Government will consider the welfare of the people whenever they make a decision.

Some believe this is the time for the country to pray and fast for the Government.

"It is so disheartening to watch and hear our people being divided not only on social media but also in families. I remember one of the viral videos on social media of the Archbishop where he said that we should change the tone of how we send out the message. And I for one believe in that. He is also right when he said the language used on social media is heavy," said Tautua Valasi

He hopes that this phase will pass. Few others shared the same sentiment as Tautua. They hope that Samoa will stand together and be united not divided.

"I do pray and hope that no matter this chaos, our people will still stand as one. I know it's a matter of our people supporting their parties but we must remember we are all Samoan. No matter which party we aligned or supported, at the end of the day, we are all from one country. The only thing we can do right now is pray to God to continue watching over our nation," said Theresa Kapisi.

Some members of the public are asking Samoans here and abroad to take some time off to just seek God's help for the crisis Samoa is in.

They also acknowledged the prayers and work done by the church ministers of every church in Samoa. According to the people, God is the only person who can help Samoa at this point.

"Our prayer is for our people to unite and not incite against one another. Whether you support FAST or HRPP, we must respect one another. There is no need to call anyone out because of who they support. Our leaders can work this out with the help of the Holy Spirit but let's do our part," added Tulua Vini.

In their opinion, the Government should also consider that the youth and our children are watching their every move. They should lead by example.
