Sunday School marks end of year
The EFKS Church Hall in Nofoalii was filled with joy and celebration last Friday evening as the local Sunday School held a Christmas event to mark the end of a year filled with challenges and accomplishments.
The evening began with a heartfelt prayer led by Reverend Kuresa Aumua, setting a reverent tone for the event. The celebration was a blend of faith and festivity, with each Sunday School class showcasing a variety of dance performances.
These included not only Christmas-themed acts but also multicultural dances representing nations such as Tonga and Samoa, highlighting the diversity and creativity within the community.
The event served as a moment of reflection and gratitude for the students’ hard work and dedication throughout the year.
It also featured the much-anticipated announcement of end-of-year exam results, bringing smiles and pride to the students and their families.
Reverend Aumua emphasized the importance of the occasion, stating, "This event is not only about celebrating Christmas but also recognizing the perseverance and achievements of our Sunday School students. It’s a time to honour their journey and encourage them for the future."
Parents and community members applauded the students’ efforts, with the joyous performances bringing the spirit of Christmas to life.
The event concluded with heartfelt wishes for a blessed holiday season and a renewed sense of unity among the congregation.
This memorable celebration not only honoured the past year but also set a hopeful tone for the year ahead, reminding everyone of the strength and faith that have carried them through.
