Uli Denz from Germany is a dedicated Coca-Cola can collector and is on a quest to add a unique piece to his extensive collection, a Coca-Cola can from Samoa.

With over 30 years of collecting Coke cans under his belt, Denz has collected a total of 1,664 cans from 154 different countries, each telling its own story.

"In the 30 years since I started collecting Coca-Cola cans, I have met many, many other collectors from all over the world," stated Denz.

Despite his impressive collection, Denz is still missing a can from Samoa, a fact he is eager to change.

“It would mean a great deal to me to finally have a Coca-Cola can from Samoa,” he stated.

He is offering to buy one for US$50 and cover all postage expenses. He emphasised that the can must clearly display the word “Samoa.”

“I would be happy to send a wish from Germany in exchange. Perhaps there is also a collector in Samoa who collects coins, stamps or something else from Germany,” he said.

Denz’s passion for collecting Coca-Cola cans began during his childhood.

“I started collecting as a schoolboy. At that time, my family and friends brought me my first cans as souvenirs from holidays abroad.” This initial spark led to a lifelong hobby, further fueled by cans brought back by colleagues from business trips," he said.

"My collection grew slowly for the first 15 years as I collected ‘offline’, i.e. without the Internet. It wasn't until the Internet came along that the size of my collection exploded.

"There are certainly collectors who have even more cans than I do, but I also have a few very rare and very old cans."

Today, Denz’s collection represents more than just metal and design. It encapsulates friendships and global connections.

“For me, my collection is not just a collection of Coca-Cola cans, but also a collection of stories and global friendships,” he said.

Using the Internet, Denz has significantly expanded his collection, illustrating how technology can connect enthusiasts across the globe.

He is looking to collect more cans such as different Coca-Cola cans from Germany, at least one Coca-Cola can from every country in the world, particularly beautiful and rare Coca-Cola cans (for example, prototypes), Coca-Cola cans with different filling quantities and shapes and Coca-Cola cans from countries with different characters like Japanese, Arabic, Korean and more.
