A Jamaican band that will be performing at the end of the month believes they have set foot in paradise.

Bonafide is a five-member reggae band that will perform at the LifeCon Fashion Show on 29 November. They are already in the country and enjoying the hospitality before their performance next week.

Band leader Junior Rootz said he had heard a lot about Samoa but did not realise how beautiful the country was.

"I think this is the most beautiful place I have ever been. I didn't think it would be this beautiful," he told the Samoa Observer.

"We are eager to perform here. We want people to come to hear us sing our songs, which include Jamaican and reggae melodies, and show off our skills.

"We are aware that performing and the fashion show are the main reasons we are here: music is enjoyable. The only things that set Jamaica and Samoa apart are our languages and cultural traditions."

Junior added that the way people welcomed them was reason enough for wanting to stay in Samoa.

He said they wished all nations to be like Samoa where everything is so ingrained in culture.

The band has five members, all brothers—four biological brothers and one adopted brother.

The band feels Samoa is far safer than most nations in the world. They were also blown away by the decorations put up by the villages for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

The band said they loved the fact that there were so many churches and each one was unique.

Serving as ambassadors of good vibes and good music, Bonafide Reggae Band is located in Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Bonafide has hypnotized their fan base with good rhythms infused with sultry base. Bonafide has earned its  position of number one in Las Vegas. They are often imitated but never duplicated.
