King Charles arrives in Samoa

British monarch King Charles III and Queen Camilla touched down at the Faleolo International Airport just after 7 pm on Wednesday.
This is only the second time a British monarch has visited Samoa but this will be the first time a royal will more than a day on the island. King Charles arrives in Samoa after a six-day visit to Australia.
Government officials crowded the precinct of the new VIP terminal to capture the arrival of the head of the Commonwealth and the monarch's first state visit to the island.
Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa welcomed King Charles to Samoa.
King Charles inspected the police guard of honour followed by an audience with the Prime Minister. His State Visit will commence on Thursday.
