Smiles were brought to the faces of children and their parents at the children's ward of the National Hospital by the Congregational Christian Church Fugalei Sunday School.

The Sunday School visited the Paediatric Ward on Sunday as part of their annual program for White Sunday.

Mothers who were at the hospital expressed how grateful and blessed they were to get such unexpected visitors on a special occasion.

"I was surprised by the visit, and I want to express how thankful I am for the gift they gave my daughter. She couldn't stop smiling when she saw them doing their performances yesterday. She loves dancing so it really felt like she was at our White Sunday program. Thank you to the EFKS Fugalei youth and Sunday School for what they did," said Ana Tauto.

Rosemary Tanielu shared the same sentiment, saying her daughter had been in the hospital for a few days and she was excited to hear the group sing and dance.

"It was such a joy to see them come and do some performances for the children here at the hospital. They brought the spirit of White Sunday to these children who will miss out on the performances and celebration. No other words to say other than 'Thank you so much Fugalei youth and Sunday school' for everything."

On the Autalavou EFKS Fugalei official Facebook account, they posted about the purpose of their annual visit to the Paediatric Ward on White Sunday mornings.

"Our Sunday school annual visit to the Paediatric Ward every White Sunday morning. To celebrate our children who couldn't participate in the service today. We're so grateful for this opportunity to spread the love and joy of White Sunday, and seeing the kid's faces light up makes it all the more special."

"Happy White Sunday. Sending all our love from Aoga Aso Sa and Autalavou EFKS Fugalei"

The youth and Sunday School were all dressed in white with the boys wearing red bow ties and neckties while the ladies wore their ribbons on their left side.

More than 20 members participated in the event with some of their older members joining in.
