Businessman Robert Ash is fulfilling a dream inspired by his father during a car ride. He held a pre-launch of his business Ready Homes Samoa on Saturday evening at Orator Hotel, Ululoloa.

The company is dedicated to providing affordable and comfortable home at the highest quality. The company has also set up a foundation where $1000 from every sale goes towards providing underprivileged families homes.

"The dream, one day on our way with my father, Gatoaitele Savea Malifa towards our plantation, he saw some families in Falelauniu, a village that is 200 meters from here, still living in tent houses," said Mr Ash.

"He said to me "Son, if only you could help build houses for all these families, wouldn't that be something?" He is always concerned for the people of Samoa, looking for ways to try and help them. It was either through his writings or a column called the 'Village Voice' in one of his masterpieces the Samoa Observer newspaper."

His dream of becoming a builder was born from that car ride but he believes that everyone has a different calling in life. He became a salesman instead.

"As you can all see, here I am standing in front of all of you people trying to sell that dream. Our purpose at Ready Homes, we believe that in the Faasamoa and life in general, everything starts at home. And that everyone deserves a beautiful, comfortable, affordable, and well-built home in a new way of living in Samoa."

"So for every unit sold, $1,000 will go towards Ready Homes Samoa House of Family foundation. This foundation will help make a family's dream come true. We, at Ready Homes Samoa are willing to make that dream a reality.

"I leave you all with one of the many of my father's favourite quotes and I quote, "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" from Macbeth by William Shakespeare."

Mr Ash said he was very excited that the dream become a reality with the help of everyone involved. He said he couldn't have done it without his business partners and board members.

"We thank you for joining us tonight for the pre-launching of Ready Home Samoa Limited, as one of our board members said earlier if this is what we called our pre-launch here in Samoa, then I wonder what actual launch would be. I am here to announce that our company is dedicated to providing a cheap and affordable homes at the highest quality," he said.

"With the focused on sustainability and modern design, our homes are perfect for those who looking to move into town while also minimisig their environment impact. Our other company in Australia has 50 per cent ownership of the manufacturing part, with that being said we gave our customers the option of owning a home at the price of a car."

He extended his gratitude towards his board of directors, partners, and everyone that attended their pre-launching, and he is looking forward to working with them in the near future.
