Ingridvanie Fetoai, the vibrant and dedicated Miss Falealili No.1 is championing a transformative vision for the Miss Samoa pageant extending beyond personal ambition to embrace the collective potential of local communities.

Representing her Falealili No.1 constituency, Ingridvanie’s journey in the pageant is not merely a personal achievement but a call to action for the empowerment and participation of Samoan girls from all walks of life.

She encourages all local constituencies to emulate her district’s approach by organising community pageants to send a representative to the Miss Samoa pageant.

At just 21 years old, Ingridvanie reflects on her remarkable journey with a sense of profound gratitude and purpose.

"The experience has been incredible," she shares with a warm smile.

Her deep-seated hope is to pave the way for other local girls to experience the same opportunities that have profoundly impacted her life.

Ingridvanie is convinced that Samoa brims with untapped talent and potential among its young women, and she believes that encouraging their participation in the Miss Samoa pageant is crucial to ensuring that the crown remains in the hands of Samoan locals, rather than being claimed by overseas competitors.

“I hold nothing against my sisters living abroad who come to compete,” Ingridvanie clarifies, “but there’s a recurring desire for a local girl to win.

"By fostering local participation, we can make that aspiration a reality.” Her sentiments echo a broader community desire for representation that reflects the essence of Samoan culture and values.

Ingridvanie’s alignment with the Miss Samoa platform underscores her belief in its core mission: empowering women and inspiring growth.

"It’s an inspiring journey about empowering women," she says passionately. Growing up, she never envisioned herself in a beauty pageant; it was a path she had not considered.

Her entry into the Miss Falealili No.1. pageant was a leap into the unknown.

“I had no experience or knowledge about pageantry,” she admits. “I just took the opportunity and went with it.” Despite the uncertainties, Ingridvanie has embraced every moment with enthusiasm and no regrets.

As the Miss Samoa crowning night approaches, Ingridvanie is determined to represent her community with integrity and pride.

"This is a learning experience," she says. “I’m here to embrace every aspect of it.”

Reflecting on the wisdom shared by the outgoing Miss Samoa Moemoana Safaatoa Schwenke, Ingridvanie acknowledges that the true value of her journey lies not solely in winning the crown but in the invaluable lessons learned and the unwavering support received.

“The love and encouragement from my community have been incredibly heartwarming,” she adds. Her emotional visit to her community during this year’s pageant underscored the collective support she has felt.

“Seeing everyone come together to cheer for me was deeply touching and something I will cherish forever.”

Ingridvanie expressed appreciation for the Anofale Initiative she was part of this year. The program allowed her to meet and learn from some of Samoa’s most influential and powerful women, enriching her journey in meaningful ways.

“Being part of that initiative positively impacted me, and I felt honoured to connect with such remarkable women,” she reflects.

As the grand finale of the Miss Samoa pageant nears, Ingridvanie remains steadfast in her commitment to representing her community with honour and enthusiasm.

Through her efforts, Ingridvanie seeks to elevate her path and ignite a spark of aspiration in others, ensuring that the Miss Samoa pageant becomes a platform where local talent shines brightly.
