The soon-to-be ordained Archbishop of Samoa, Father Mosese Vitolio Tui in his sermon at the closing of the Aso Tupulaga Samoa (A.T.S.) at Leauvaa said he will not be making any changes to the Church for the remainder of this year.

"I have promised my fellow brothers (priests) that I will not change a single thing. Just give me this year to see everything before I make any changes," he said during his homily.

"I have also pleaded with Archbishop Peter Brown to hold the appointment of deacons for a bit so I can observe and then decide on it however the appointment will still push through as needed."

He mentioned in his sermon that the Church's Catechism is slowly fading. He urges the Church to stick together and help in rebuilding the Archdiocese.

"To our youth, let us come together and work hand-in-hand for our Archdiocese. The challenge for the nuns, priests, deacons, and everyone move forward and not look back. Our Archdiocese will not grow if we look back every time. Whatever God gives us, we can do it. We can always bring back traditions," he said.

He also challenged the youths present for the closing of the Aso Tupulaga Samoa ceremony to move forward.

"Every life has a task. Every person has a talent. Every moment has value. Every moment is important. Every moment is a calling of vocation. You were not born to come and sit in Father Lui's hall here at Leauvaa, you have a calling. You are a youth and you have your talents. Remember, move forward and do not look back anymore."

A.T.S. concluded with a mass on Friday. More than a thousand participants were at the youth gathering.
