Tuilaepa ordered out of Parliament
Opposition Leader, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi was ousted from Parliament for 24 hours starting from today after continuous orders from the Speaker to sit down were not obeyed.
Speaker Papalii Lio Masipau did not grant Tuilaepa’s interjection who continued to say that any member can intervene.
This brought Speaker Papalii on his feet when Tuilaepa denied orders to sit down pointing to him that he does not correct the chair.
Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Laauli Leuatea Schmidt moved the motion to remove Tuilaepa for being disrespectful.
Attempts by Deputy Opposition Leader, Lauofo Fonotoe Pierre to have the motion debated was overruled by the Speaker.
The motion was seconded by other Cabinet Ministers ordering Tuilaepa to vacate his seat for 24 hours.
