PNG Governor General's wife bestowed Peseta title

Amongst 35 new title holders of the Peseta and Lauvao titles in Pu'apu'a in Savaii was the wife of the Governor General of Papua New Guinea, Lady Peseta Emeline Tufi Folau Dadae.

Held at Pu'apu'a in Savaii earlier this month, Lady Peseta was proudly bestowed the paramount chief title of Peseta by her family alongside 32 others of her relatives, while the other two were conferred the oratory title of Lauvao.
Lady Peseta stood out amongst the new title holders. She travelled to Samoa with her delegation of special doctors and escorts, her relatives from Tonga as well as those in Samoa for this purpose.
She is of Samoan ethnicity as well as Tongan and she was married to the Governor General of PNG in 2020.
The paramount or leading chief of the family, Pesetā Luteru Pesetā Tautī Taofiga Seali’imalietoa acknowledged and expressed his gratitude to the family for acknowledging Lady Peseta for this significant title of their family.
"This is the true pinnacle of a true Israeli, they open their window and look back to their true family and their identity," he said.
Lady Peseta also thanked and expressed her gratefulness to her family for recognising her and conferring upon herself such a significant title that is important to her identity as a Samoa.
All the new title holders of the Peseta and Lauvao titles were generations born from the late Pesetā Iiga Tiumalu (brother) and his sister, late Sinafatuimoa.
There were traditional Samoan customs and practices conducted for the bestowment ceremony involving the village.
The Congregational Christian Church Samoa in Puapua's church minister, Reverend Apera'amo Tufuga led the service and ceremony with a prayer while other church ministers from various churches in Pu'apu'a also contributed to blessing the new title holders in Fogaseuga in Pu'apu'a.
