Leuluaipouomalo Sinaloa Melchior, a 27-year-old from Lepea and Vailoa, stands as a beacon of inspiration for young Samoan women, proving that it is never too late to pursue education.

Recently, she celebrated a significant milestone by graduating with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific (USP).

Reflecting on her achievement, Leuluaipouomalo shared with the Samoa Observer, "As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the profound impact that my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree has had on my life.

"The pursuit of this degree has been a transformative experience, allowing me to develop strategic thinking and business acumen that has fuelled my entrepreneurial spirit."

Her hard work has culminated in the launch of her new business, Fast Finance Services, which she is confident will make a significant impact in the market. Additionally, she is on the verge of opening an IT business, further cementing her presence in the industry.

Leuluaipouomalo's path to success was not without its obstacles. "The passing of my beloved father, Sapu, in March 2023 was a devastating blow that tested my resolve and resilience," she recounted.

Balancing her father's illness, managing her finance business, and caring for her eight-month-old son, Aquinas, demanded immense strength and determination. Yet, she remained driven by her passion for education and unwavering determination to succeed.

Acknowledging the support she received, Leuluaipouomalo expressed gratitude for the blessings that guided her academic journey. "I also extend my heartfelt thanks to my mother, Theresa, who has been a constant source of encouragement and support, urging me to pursue higher education at the University of the South Pacific (USP). I want to express my sincere appreciation to my family members, including my siblings, and my husband, who have been unwavering in their support and encouragement. Your financial backing through school fees and emotional motivation has been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals."

Her gratitude extends to her spiritual mentors as well. "Thanks to our Parish Priest Fr. Patolo Matiasi, Fr. Sefo, and our Deacon Paulo Mulipola for the prayers and good words on Sunday Mass to do good and right things in life for our family, villages, and church."

As she looks to the future, Leuluaipouomalo shares a powerful message with the youth: "Never give up on your dreams. Believe in yourself, work hard, and stay committed to your goals. Education is the key to unlocking success, and I am living proof of that. My story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of staying true to oneself. I hope that it will inspire others to chase their aspirations with unwavering determination and courage."

A former student of St. Mary's College, Leuluaipouomalo received her Foundation Certificate in Commerce from the National University of Samoa in 2017. She then earned a Professional Diploma in Business Administration from USP in 2022, followed by a Post-Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Business Administration in 2023.
