Boys missing in different incidents

The Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services (S.P.P.C.S.) are currently looking for an 11-year-old and a 16-year-old boy who both went missing from their homes before the weekend.

The police made appeals on social media to the public for assistance, in locating Liva Anetone, the 11-year-old from Vaimoso-Uta who has been missing from his home since Friday 24 May 2024.


It is alleged he went missing between 12 pm and 5 pm. He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and maroon shorts.  

A day before that, Amaketi Seuga, 16, from Faleula also went missing from his family home with police also seeking assistance in locating him. He is currently in  Year 11 at Sagaga College.  

"Amaketo was last seen at approximately 8 pm on 23 May 2024, after having dinner with his family at their residence.  Since then, he has been reported missing," police stated.

"We kindly request that if any individual possesses any information regarding Amaketo Seuga’s whereabouts, please promptly contact the nearest Police station or call the number 22222. Your cooperation is of utmost importance in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community."

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts that reached above his knees.

Last week, S.P.P.C.S also appealed to the public in locating Vaaitino Lauina. The 15-year-old of age from Nu’u Fou and Saasaai was later found and reunited with her family.

Vaaitino Lauina had been missing from her home at Toamua -Tai since Wednesday morning 22 May 2024 at 10:00am.

Earlier this month,  Melipa Utuvai, another female, 18-year-old from Falelauniu-Tai and Neiafu, also went missing had successfully returned to the Asau Outpost at 2 pm on Tuesday 7 May  2024.
