The government is looking to fill five top positions with one vacancy while the other Chief Executive Officer posts are nearing the end of their three-year contract.

These top jobs are for Samoa Post Limited, Samoa Fire and Emergency Services, Accident Compensation Corporation, Land Transport Authority, and Samoa Life Assurance Corporation.

The positions are advertised by the Ministry of Public Enterprises (M.P.E.) on its official website.

For S.L.A.C, the due date for applications was November 24 2023 while the deadline for applications for the L.T.A. C.E.O position was the 21 December.

The other three vacancies are due on the 31st of this month.

The top job at L.T.A. became vacant after the former C.E.O., Galumalemana Titi Tutuvanu-Schwalger resigned.

Another C.E.O. position that has been vacant for over a year is the Commissioner for the Samoa Law Reform Commission.

The Minister responsible for overseeing operations for the S.L.R.C. Matamua Vasati Pulufana in a previous interview with this newspaper said they are waiting for the Public Service Commission's review to be completed before they proceed with recruiting a new Commissioner.

The position was readvertised in November with the P.S.C. still considering the applications from when it was first advertised.

The Deputy Commissioner has been looking after the Commission since the resignation of the former Director of the SLRC.
