A decade after coming onto the scene in Samoa as an ICT company, SkyEye Pacific on Friday marked another milestone with the official opening of their new office in Lotopa.

The opening of the two-storey building was celebrated with friends and families as well as business and Government leaders with the Minister for Public Enterprises, Leatinuu Wayne So'oialo among the guests.

In a speech to mark the occasion, Leatinuu acknowledged SkyEye Pacific for not only contributing to the technological landscape of the Pacific but also for embodying the spirit of community and family values.

SkyEye Pacific CEO Fa'asootauloa Sam Saili was emotional in his speech as he reminisced on his company's journey and said that despite the conventional wisdom of "never do business with family", his company's success is a testament to the success of a family-owned enterprise.

He then credited their success to a culture of trust, where each individual is entrusted with their role and responsibilities and expressed gratitude to his parents for instilling values that have proven "indispensable" on their journey to establish SkyEye.

SkyEye Pacific has over the decade expanded its presence to the Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu offering geospatial technology services and in August 2020 launched its first e-commerce app called Maua, which was a first for the country.

Its four main categories of services include GIS, GPS, ICT, remote sensing and vehicle tracking.

Faaso’otauloa on Friday also made a special acknowledgement and mention of its partners and made reference to their vital role in helping their company grow over the years.

The official opening of their Lotopa office on Friday was a double celebration for the Saili family as it also coincided with the 78th birthday of Taimaaiono Metotagivale Leaupepe-Saili, Faasootauloa's mother who was also given the pleasure of cutting the ribbon to officially open their new company premises.

Looking to the future, Fa'aso'otauloa said SkyEye Pacific would continue contributing towards achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

As SkyEye Pacific embarks on a new chapter with their Lotopa office, the company said it remains dedicated to its mission of utilizing technology for the betterment of Pacific Island communities. The journey of the past decade was one of innovation, resilience, and collaboration to set the stage for an even more promising future.
