Lack of teachers concern
All schools within the constituency of Aana Alofi No.4 have always been and still are challenged by lack of teachers, Member of Parliament and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (M.N.R.E.), Toesulusulu Cedric Schuster said.
In an interview with the Samoa Observer on Friday, Toesulusulu stressed that this has been an ongoing issue within Samoa's education sector but this is something he hopes to change and improve for the future of his constituency.

"Just like all other schools in Samoa, there is always a lack of teachers. Proposals were put in a long time ago but the Ministry of Education has their own policies on how many students a teacher can teach," he said.
"None of the schools in this constituency have the right number of teachers or enough teachers but this school has only four or five teachers here including the principal."
The school principal in a previous interview with this newspaper explained that there are currently only three teachers teaching at the school.
Asked whether this would be something he would push for as the political leader of the constituency, Toesulusulu said "yes".
"The constituency is looking at other ways we can alternatively take to overcome this and one is looking at using some people from within the constituency to look after other classes but of course the Ministry of Education has to approve first," he explained.
"Some schools have computers but they are not using them because they don't have a teacher specialised in computers or they just don't have enough teachers."
Meanwhile, the school has a teacher looking after Years 1 to Year 4 and then two teachers who have two classes between them, these classes being the intermediate and senior years. The school has a roll of 117
