Local business urges training for better Samoa
A local business is urging local companies to continuously upskill their workers and relevant stakeholders through training as this helps Samoa progress.
Samoa Stationery and Books Limited (SSAB) and New Zealand-based company Filecorp conducted product knowledge training to enhance the understanding and basic skills of file management with its local clients after being away during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The training was held at the SSAB conference room with more than 30 participants from different ministries, corporations, private organisations as well as schools who have work-related fields in file management as well as record keeping.
SSAB Chief Executive Officer Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai’ is keen on ensuring that the backup support needed for Filecorp clients is well looked after hence the provision of refresher training so clients can expand their knowledge and understanding of these particular products.
“Training is very important for our people; this can help them gain more knowledge and understanding about advanced products used by countries such as New Zealand and Australia,” she said.
“Rather than waste space and time looking for files, Filecorp promotes efficiency in organisations. We are also grateful to Angela who travelled all the way from New Zealand to conduct this refresher training for our local clients. We look forward to what is ahead for SSAB and our Filecorp NZ team.”
Filecorp is a file management system that provides consultations pertaining to filing as well as equipping clients with software solutions to help manage and store records in the most efficient way possible.
The purpose of the training was to reconnect with SSAB, its longest partner of 14 years and authorised reseller in Samoa. The training was run by Angela Reed, Head of Filecorp NZ and Dora Malele, the SSAB Manager for Special Projects.
“After the training today, we have managed to secure feedback from our clients here in Samoa for us to work on when we get back, especially the print c-ezi software program and being able to provide an advanced filing system that is easily accessible for our clients here in Samoa,” said Ms. Reed.
