The State-owned entity Samoa Port Authority (S.P.A.) has donated SAT$5,000 as well as essential supplies to the Mapuifagalele Home of the Elderly.

The support from the S.P.A. comes courtesy of the authority's annual charity contribution to The Little Sisters of the Poor with the presentation held at Vailele last Friday, according to a press release from the authority issued on Wednesday this week.

The authority said the initiative to support the facility confirms the commitment of the S.P.A. to support the community through charity work.

The management and staff of the S.P.A. were grateful to witness the presentation last Friday morning and said that the greetings enriched the visit with so much love as well as the sharing of memorable and joyful moments.

One highlight of the visit was a graceful dance performance by S.P.A. staff members. Their elegance and performance captivated the audience, bringing smiles to the faces of the elderly and creating an environment of camaraderie.

S.P.A. General Manager, So’oalo Kuresa So’oalo expressed his appreciation to all his employees for honouring and supporting the S.P.A. Mapuifagalele annual charity event.

“This is a great opportunity to give a helping hand to our elders especially assisting our Sisters who are leading the provision of care to the elderly," said So’oalo. "Giving back to the community is an act of kindness and a   window for blessings."

The Sisters and the elderly at Mapuifagalele happily expressed their gratitude for the love and support shown to them by the S.P.A. They wished abundant blessings for the S.P.A. and its future endeavours in serving Samoa.
