Vodafone Samoa, UP Group partnership to boost money transfers
Vodafone Samoa and UP Group have joined hands to amplify the reach and accessibility of their services with the partnership to benefit customers seeking money transfer solutions.
Vodafone Samoa's M-Tala Mobile wallet will go into partnership with UP Group Money Transfer, which is New Zealand's pioneer Samoan-owned money transfer company. The partnership aims to empower communities in both New Zealand and Samoa through what both partners described as seamless, secure, and instantaneous international money transfer services.
One of the primary goals of the partnership is to empower and encourage individuals in New Zealand to embrace digital transactions, saving them valuable time and resources that would otherwise be expended on physical visits to financial offices, according to a press release issued by Vodafone Samoa.
Through this collaboration, UP Group and Vodafone Samoa are united in their mission to provide customers with an array of alternatives for withdrawing funds, not only within urban centres but also across rural areas, ensuring that financial access is democratized for all.
UP Group's multifaceted presence includes security and private investigation divisions in both New Zealand and Samoa, in addition to their newly launched Money Transfer services. By expanding its offerings to encompass international money transfers, UP Group is reinforcing its commitment to serving the needs of the communities it operates within.
Chief Commercial Officer of Vodafone Samoa, Sudhir Kumar Thangarajan, expressed his excitement at the partnership and said they looked forward to working with a leader in the financial services sector.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with UP Group, a renowned player in the financial services sector. This partnership exemplifies our dedication to facilitating swift and secure international money transfers for our customers," he said. "Through this synergistic alliance, we are confident in our ability to deliver unparalleled convenience and accessibility to financial services."
Mrs. Faaiuga, who is the CEO of UP Group, echoed these sentiments by adding, "UP Group is proud to embark on this journey with Vodafone Samoa.
"By leveraging the strength of our collective expertise and resources, we are poised to revolutionize the way international money transfers are conducted. Our shared values and vision for enhanced financial inclusion have paved the way for this collaboration, and we are excited to usher in a new era of seamless cross-border transactions."
