Samoa Tourism Authority has welcomed the newly launched Teuila App by Vodafone Samoa, which gives visitors and locals an immersive digital platform to keep track of programs, and events as well as get real-time updates.

The S.T.A. Chief Executive Officer, Pativaine Petaia-Tevita said the reality now for maximum connection is with a mobile and having a mobile app for Teuila Festival enhances the experience in terms of convenience and accessibility.

"A big faamalo and faafetai tele lava to Vodafone Samoa for pioneering the Teuila App. After 33 years of festivities, you've brought the festival closer to our fingertips, enriching the experience for both locals and visitors alike," said Mrs. Petaia-Tevita in a statement issued by the local telco. 

The cutting-edge mobile app was developed and designed in-house by Vodafone’s skilled web designers and aims to elevate the Teuila festival experience to new heights. This initiative underscores Vodafone's commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of local communities and fostering unforgettable memories during this significant cultural celebration.

Chief Executive Officer for Vodafone Samoa, Rana Bose said they were elated at the launching of the new app, which coincides with the start of the Teuila Festival.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Teuila App to our community, designed to enhance the way festival-goers experience the Teuila festivities," he said. 

The annual week-long festival showcases Samoa’s rich culture through dance, music, arts and crafts, food and many more. The celebrations start on Sunday 3 September and close on Saturday 9 September 2023 with the crowning of the new Miss Samoa 2023/2024.

The Teuila App is available for download on both iOS and Android platforms starting 1st September and can be accessed via App Store and Google Play.
