Quarterfinal time at Marist 7s

Defending champions Ott Constructors Tama Uli will face the Fiji Development 7s in the first of the Cup quarterfinals at the Marist International 7s at St. Joseph’s Grounds.

After two days of intense rugby action, it’s now time for the deciders.

In the other Cup quarterfinals, Laumua O Tumua Afega takes on PacificEzy Safotu, BBE Vaiala faces Laulii Lions and Tepatasi takes on ACP Marist St. Joseph.

The Cup quarterfinals kick off at 9.40am.

In the U-18 final which will be played at 3pm, Aleipata College will face Leuklumoega Fou College. In the women’s final Savaii Queens take on No Idea.


Despite the Marist Sevens Sports Club having to make a last minute decision for the venue to host the 35th Marist St Joseph's International Rugby 7s international tournament this year, the tournament kicked off with a bang at St. Joseph's College field at Alafua on Thursday.

This year’s tournament features teams from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and American Samoa. The teams include a Fiji development 7s team which will have at least six players who played in the recent World Sevens Series.

More than 20 teams both local and international participated in the tournament but with Day Two on commencing on Friday and the finals to be held on Saturday to find the winner of the 35th tournament.
