The inaugural Vodafone Leadership Summit 2023 is scheduled for next week Monday with a number of leaders, including the Prime Minister lined up to present at the one-day event.

Details of the summit were released on Wednesday by Vodafone Samoa, which is organising and facilitating the conference, with the local telecommunications company saying the meeting will bring together leaders from both the Government and business sector.

The summit will feature Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, B.S.P. Samoa Country Head, Jennifer Ula-Fruean, Vodafone Samoa’s Chief Technical Officer, Tofa Le’uo Alani Faiai, and psychiatrist and head of the Mental Health Unit within the Ministry of Health, Seiulialii Dr. George Tuitama.

Vodafone Samoa C.E.O. Rana Bose said next Monday's summit is of international standard and it made sense for his company to organise and host the summit as they continue to promote innovation.

"One of the core values of Vodafone is Innovation and this event is designed as per international summit standards never seen before in Samoa. Vodafone being a leader in telecom is justifiably best suited to organize a Leadership Summit," Mr. Bose said.

“The goal is to bring together leaders with diverse backgrounds and experiences to share their knowledge and insights on effective leadership strategies and overcoming challenges, particularly for our Pacific Island nation. The summit will provide a forum for leaders to share their experiences, successes, and challenges."

Prime Minister Fiamē will talk on the “importance of diversity in leadership” while the B.S.P. Samoa Country Head is speaking on "virtual leadership". Tofa of Vadonafone Samoa will do a presentation on “how technology will shape leadership” and Seiulialii will speak on “managing stress for leaders”.

Mr. Bose added that based on the success and feedback of next Monday's inaugural leadership summit, it could be held on a bigger scale every year.
