Toleafoa is new E.P.C. chair

The Electric Power Corporation (E.P.C) Board has a new Chairman. The Samoa Observer can reveal that Tole’afoa Douglas Creevey, a former Chief Executive Officer for Bluesky Samoa has been appointed to the position.

Toleafoa takes up the role from Pepe Christian Fruean, whose contract expired earlier this month.

The position was advertised by the Ministry of Public Enterprise and this newspaper understands that the appointment was carried out by an Independent Selection Committee (I.S.C) tasked to review all applicants and recommend candidates to Cabinet.

Recommendations from I.S.C was made earlier this month.

It is understood that a statement will be released soon from Ministry of Public Enterprises on the new appointment and new Board members for E.P.C.

Prior to being appointed as C.E.O. of Bluesky in 2016, Toleafoa held a number of key leadership roles within the company including, Chief Operations Officer, Country Manager – Samoa and Bluesky’s Country Manager in New Zealand and a Director on the board of Bluesky Cook Islands.
