Students of the Jj Cyber Café computer center have been rewarded for their efforts in Information Technology Communication’s course run by Lepaimasina Johnson, the founder and director of Jj Cyber Café.

The 23 students received gifts in a moving awards ceremony witnessed by the parents and friends.

Mr Johnson hopes that with the training they provided, the students will be able to receive approved certification from SQA for completing the ICT course together.

"We meet the standard and all of our students can prove it. Our students who attend various schools who got high marks are from our computer center," he said.

"I really appreciate what the Lord has done for us here and I want to give God all the glory for that."

16 computers were presented to the ICT graduates and the other seven students were in the block chain technology course where individuals are able to learn about crypto currency.

"We believe that with whatever you learn, if you don’t continue on it, you will easily forget it. In the ICT if you don’t have the tools to continue at home you will forget so many things so we provide free PC's," said Mr Johnson.

Wynona Mareko is the top student of the ICT course and shared that the course had helped increase her understanding of softwares.

"I really enjoyed my time in the course, I got to utilise the PC and especially help me learn more about ICT," she said.

"I was able to learn from the other students and in turn I helped them when they needed it."

The course wasn't designed for specific people but was made for all ages. Mr Johnson encourages everyone to be a part of the course where you can learn more about Information, Technology and Communication as the world becomes more and more digitalised.
