The University of the South Pacific (U.S.P.) has advised its Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program has been officially re-accredited up to October 2025 by the Association of MBA (AMBA) Accreditation.

The accreditation means that M.B.A. graduates from the university would acquire a qualification that is recognised globally, enabling them to drive their leadership skills and career to the next level.

The Director for Accreditation, Katherine O’Flynn said the International Accreditation Advisory Board endorsed the panel’s report following the assessment of the U.S.P. Graduate School of Business during a visit in September this year.

She added that the Association of M.B.A. Accreditation of the M.B.A. portfolio had been awarded to the Graduate School of Business at the U.S.P. for a period of three years.

“The next full re-assessment of the Graduate School of Business at The University of the South Pacific is scheduled to be undertaken in October 2025," she said. "On behalf of AMBA, may I wish U.S.P. continued success."

Head of the U.S.P. Graduate School of Business and Director of the MBA programme, Professor Gurmeet Singh said AMBA is the world’s only M.B.A.-specific Accreditation Organisation, accrediting just 2 per cent of the world’s M.B.A. Business Schools.

He added that the U.S.P. achieving the re-accreditation for the third time since 2013 has cemented its place among the top business schools in the world.

“AMBA has rigorous assessment criteria and re-accreditation ensures that our M.B.A. is of the highest calibre," Prof. Singh added.

"This demonstrates our best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction. AMBA re-accreditation for us means that our M.B.A. programme has international credibility and status.

“This re-accreditation process also allows us to spot potential shortcomings in our program and challenges us to continuously perform at the highest level."

Prof. Singh also congratulated all teaching and non-teaching staff at the School of Business Management, School of Accounting Finance and Economics, and other sections of the U.S.P. who have worked hard and contributed to achieving the re-accreditation by AMBA.

Prospective students who are keen on pursuing an M.B.A. study program at the U.S.P. have until 18 November 2022 to apply.
