Vodafone Samoa Chief appointed PTC Awards judge

The Acting C.E.O. of Vodafone Samoa Rana Bose has been appointed one of the judges at the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) Awards 2023.
The PTC Awards 2023 is intended to acknowledge the outstanding contributions being made to improve the ability of people and organisations in the Pacific region to connect, communicate, collaborate and experience an enhanced quality of life.
Mr. Bose said in a statement issued by the telecommunication company that it was honour to be representing Vodafone Samoa and the country at the awards in Hawaii.
“It’s an honour for not only Vodafone Samoa but for everyone living in Samoa to be selected as a judge at the high profile and prestigious organisation like Pacific Telecom Council," he said.
"PTC has been shaping telecommunication in the Pacific Region and changing lives of people in the Pacific for considerable time now."
PTC is a global non-profit membership organization promoting the advancement of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the Pacific Rim spanning over 40 nations. The award ceremony is to be held in Hawaii on 17 January next year.
Any organisation or individual is based in the Pacific region or does business in the Pacific region may submit an entry for consideration. There is total 12 categories for the awards.
The Pacific region for the competition perspective includes any countries or territories on or near the Pacific Ocean, including North America, much of Central and South America, the Pacific islands, Australia and New Zealand, China and Southeast Asia, the Korean Peninsula, and Russia.
Mr. Bose has been a part of Vodafone Samoa since 2019 and has held the role of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CMO) including his current role as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Acting CEO of Vodafone. He brings almost two decades of telecommunication and Marketing experience. Mr. Bose comes from India and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
