Telecommunications provider Vodafone Samoa announced the launch of its innovative online eSIM, especially those attending the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

According to Vodafone, eSIM offers a seamless and convenient solution for visitors and residents alike.

As Samoa prepares to host CHOGM, Vodafone Samoa recognises the crucial role of reliable and accessible connectivity in ensuring a successful event. The new online eSIM offers a hassle-free way for delegates, tourists, and locals to activate mobile service instantly, without the need for a physical SIM card.

Travellers to Samoa with eSIM-enabled phones can activate Vodafone Samoa’s eSIM even before they arrive in Samoa from their home country. There is no longer needed to look for a store to buy a physical SIM card or look for stores to do a top-up when they arrive in Samoa.

Everything can be done using a Mastercard/Visa card from any country around the world and activate eSIM even before they arrive in Samoa.

This service has been developed by Vodafone Samoa’s in-house engineers and will add to convenience, particularly for delegates travelling during CHOGM Samoa 2024. CHOGM international delegates can buy the Vodafone CHOGM eSIM online from vodafone.com.ws and also buy additional data from the same portal.

After payment is done online using Mastercard/Visa card, the customer will receive QR code by email and takes 30 seconds to activate the CHOGM SIM plan on their phone from any place in the planet.

An eSIM is a digital SIM that allows one to activate a cellular plan without having to use a physical SIM.
