NAME CHANGE

For someone who created a fuss about their correct name to be used, they should be mindful when announcing the names of others. If it were a mispronunciation, it would be alright, but to change a person’s name altogether, now that’s a different level.

JOKE

It was casually remarked that a candidate for a by-election had withdrawn when he did not show up for a scheduled meeting with the media. The jester had to clarify that the withdrawal bit was a joke.

CROWDED

Overcrowding at the remand facility persists. A large number of the drug arrests have not been granted bail and returned to the lockup.

SEPARATION

The separation of powers needs to be taught to elected leaders once again. Why is the head of the legislative assembly attending meetings for the executives?

ROADS

Lack of attention to rural roads is causing nightmares for drivers. There are new potholes, and in some cases, only one lane is usable. Is there a surveillance and maintenance team for the authority?

DENGUE

Dengue cases are increasing again. The rain is not helping. It seems like the clean-up for dengue was a one-off thing. Eight lives have been lost. Dengue can be prevented.
