No changes are in sight as the buses termed ‘death on wheels’ by the courts are still around. Some of them are now over 50 years old and still running daily. People deserve safe public transport.

POTHOLES

New driving skills have been acquired by people living in certain areas. It is truly an art to dodge potholes and oncoming cars.

PHONES

Talking on the phone while driving is not restricted to people of the younger age group. Spotted driving along the highway while on the phone was an elderly woman. She may have been driving slow but there was no awareness of vehicles around her.

COMPENSATION

Tafitoala residents are asking when the $10 million compensation for the sinking of the Manawanui will be distributed. The money as given more than six months ago and has yet to reach the people who were affected.

AI

It was already bad with artificial intelligence being used to do work and assignments. Now, a new AI is being advertised as being undetectable and mirroring work done by humans.

Nothing is more dangerous than a person with a phone intending to record things for likes. This was shown as videos of people dragging a drowned police officer through the sea emerged.
