It was rather a sneaky move by our neighbours in the Friendly Islands when they asked tourists disembarking a cruise ship to scan QR codes and vote for their contestant at the regional pageant.

FLAG

The flag of the territory next door was brought on stage when Miss Pacific Islands was crowned. It was quickly taken off stage after the person was told it was the wrong flag. We are all Samoans.

ACCIDENT

Get enough rest and think two steps ahead when driving. There was another accident this weekend as two cars collided in Vaitele on Sunday morning. Be careful on the roads.

POWER CUTS

There were frustrated people in some areas around Vaitele as the power went out twice without any notice. Time to see the new transformers the minister has been talking about.

Some employers will find their employees missing from work. It is Superbowl time and there is a big following in the country. Hint, they could be found at the big resort.

There is a need for proper lighting along the highway. There are too many people crossing the road from just anywhere. People also need to use the crossing.
