Between the Lines

CLOSING TIME

A big round of applause to the police for ensuring that nightclubs on Saturday night closed within the stipulated time. Many fights have been known to happen as clubs proceed to be open after closing time.

WORRYING

It is amazing how the new generation takes to social media for approval of their habits. Some worrying local videos have been noticed including one of a teenager consuming bleach and seeking sympathy.

VIOLENCE

Violence in schools could be correlated to violence in homes. A child was suspended for violent behaviour in the first week of school. Break this cycle, charity begins at home.

THIEVES

Another incident of thievery. This time at a big supermarket in Vaitele. Are the times so hard that people are resorting to stealing or some people just do not believe that “Thou shall not steal.”

PRISON BREAK

There has been no explanation yet from authorities on how a hardened criminal managed to escape prison facilities at night. Mystery still surrounds the escape and the prisoner is still at large.
